What does “Novita” mean?
“Novita” means “something new” in Italian. When her sons got into trouble growing up, Mrs. Badalamenti would be waiting, wooden spoon in hand and say “ma che cosa e, Novita?” Today, Novita has a new meaning for the Badalamenti family, “Italian with a twist”.

Who is the Executive Chef?
Anthony Theesfeld has been our executive chef since February 2009. Anthony is a graduate of CIA and has 20 years of restaurant experience.

What type of cuisine do you serve?
“Italian with a twist”. Our menu is seasonal and we use local ingredients whenever possible.

Do you have a children’s menu?
We offer “kid friendly” menu items such as sides of pasta, pizzette, panini and fries.

Are there menu items for vegetarians or those with other special diets?
Yes. Please advise your server of any allergies or special dietary needs you may have.

Do you provide takeout orders?
Yes, our entire menu is available for takeout.

Are reservations accepted?
Yes, please call to make sure we can accommodate you.

What are your hours of operation?
Our kitchen is open from noon until 10pm Monday through Thursday.
Our kitchen is open from noon until 11pm on Fridays and Saturdays.
We also offer a late night menu until midnight every Friday & Saturday.

Do you have drink specials?

Can I bring my own bottle of wine?
Yes, you may bring your own but there is a $15 corkage fee per bottle.

Do you have outdoor seating?
Yes, we have seasonal outdoor dining, weather permitting.

Do you have live music?
Yes, we have live music every Thursday, Friday and Saturday.
No cover charge for entertainment.

Do you have parking?
There is parking available in the municipal lot directly across from our location, as well as on the street. The meters are free after 6pm Monday through Saturday and all day on Sundays. Stickered parking is free all day on Saturdays and Sundays.

Where are you located?
Our address is 25 New Street, Metuchen, NJ 08840. We are 1 block from route 27, within walking distance of Metuchen train station and convenient to the Garden State Parkway, routes 1,9 & 287 as well as the NJ Turnpike.

Yes, gift cards are available in all denominations, either in person or by telephone.

Can you host private events?
Yes, we can host all types of private events. Our maximum capacity is 150 people seated
